Proteome Sciences PLC13 February 2006 13 February 2006 Proteome Sciences Plc ("the Company") Notifiable Interest - Correction of prior notification The Company has received notification on 13th February 2006 from FidelityInvestments that FMR Corp. and its direct and indirect subsidiaries, FidelityInternational Limited and its direct and indirect subsidiaries and Mr Edward C.Johnson 3rd (a principal shareholder of FMR Corp. and Fidelity International),submitted a notification on 23rd January, as announced on 24th January,declaring a notifiable interest in the ordinary shares of the Company of13,031,969 shares, being 9.91% of the current issued ordinary share capital ofthe Company. This notification was made in error. The Company has additionallybeen informed that the subsequent notifications received by the company on 8thand 9th of February were correct. The notification of 9th February, 2006disclosed a notifiable interest of 14,217,793 shares, being 10.82% of thecurrent issued ordinary share capital of the company.
