Panmure Gordon & Co. plc25 April 2006 Panmure Gordon & Co. plc ("Panmure Gordon" or "the Company") Annual General Meeting Chairman's Statement At the Annual General Meeting of Panmure Gordon to be held at 3pm thisafternoon, Richard Wyatt, Chairman of the Company, will make the followingstatement on behalf of the Board: "Tomorrow marks the first anniversary of the combination of Panmure Gordon andwhat was Durlacher Corporation Plc. Whilst during the past 12 months much hasbeen achieved, there is still more to do. "In our present form the business is relatively young and it will take this yearand part of next to complete our rebuilding. In the period since merger, we havereduced staff numbers whilst upgrading the quality of our staff through targetedrecruitment. Panmure Capital has been created and we have made our firstinvestment earlier this month. Our Corporate Finance team has been restructuredwith good effect. "As to current trading, so far this year we have seen a particularly strongperformance from institutional equities, with revenues well ahead of thecomparative period last year. Since announcing our preliminary results in Marchour Corporate Finance pipeline has strengthened materially. "I and my Board colleagues remain focused on building a solid business with longterm prospects rather than pursuing short term revenue.
