PJSC Polyus
Closing of USD 500 million Eurobonds offering
PJSC Polyus (LSE, MOEX - PLZL) ("Polyus", the "Company"), the largest gold producer in Russia, notes the announcement made earlier by Polyus Finance plc (the "Issuer"), an indirect wholly-owned finance subsidiary of the Company incorporated under the laws of England and Wales, according to which the Issuer has closed and settled an issuance of USD 500 million notes due 29 January 2024 with a coupon of 4.70% per annum (the "Notes"). The Notes are guaranteed by Joint Stock Company Polyus Krasnoyarsk, a subsidiary of the Company.
The Notes issue was purchased by a diversified investor base representing Europe (ca. 60%, including 22% from the UK), USA (ca. 20%), Russia (ca. 15%) and other regions.
On the back of the strong demand during the bookbuilding process, Polyus was able to price the issuance within the interpolated curve, at the tightest spread level to UST ever achieved by the Company.
Polyus intends to use the net proceeds from the issue of the Notes primarily for debt refinancing and other general corporate purposes of the Polyus Group.
Mikhail Stiskin, Senior Vice President, Finance and Strategy, commented:
"This is already the third time since October 2016 that Polyus has successfully tapped the Eurobond market. Our debt management initiatives have enabled us to rebalance and optimize our debt portfolio, gradually improving the share of public instruments to above 50%. The latest Eurobond issue comes on the heels of a $250 million convertible bond issue and its execution in volatile market conditions on highly competitive terms is a testament to the attractiveness of the Polyus investment case."
