Polyus shares to be included in MSCI Russia index
PJSC Polyus (LSE, MOEX - PLZL) ("Polyus", or the "Company"), the largest gold producer in Russia, announces that Morgan Stanley Capital International ("MSCI") has decided to include the Company's shares into the MSCI Russia and MSCI Emerging Markets indices. Inclusion is set to be effective after the close of trading on 30 November 2017.
The MSCI is expected to announce the results of its Russia 10/40 index quarterly rebalancing on 24 November 2017, effective after the close of trading on 30 November 2017.
Pavel Grachev, Chief Executive Officer of Polyus, commented:
"The inclusion to the MSCI Indices has been a longstanding objective of the Company and one of the components of our target to increase liquidity in Polyus' equity instruments to better engage with a global investor community. This follows our successful SPO on the London and Moscow Stock Exchanges earlier this year."
