Phoenix Group Holdings (the 'Company') - Board Change

As previously reported in the Company's Annual Report for 2017 and the notice for the Company's Annual General Meeting held today ("the AGM"), Ian Cormack has left the Board with effect from today, having decided not to seek re-election at the AGM.

 Henry Staunton, Chairman of Phoenix Group Holdings, said:

"On behalf of the Board, I would like to thank Ian Cormack for his tremendous contribution to the success of Phoenix. Ian has been on the Board since September 2009 and prior to that was on the Pearl Group Board when Pearl acquired Resolution in 2008 to form what is now the Phoenix Group."

No loss of office payments have been or will be paid to Mr Cormack who will receive his contractual non-executive director's fees up to 2 May 2018, being the date of his resignation from the Board.

In accordance with paragraph 9.6.11 of the Financial Conduct Authority's Listing Rules, the Company announces that with effect from today and as previously reported in the Company's Annual Report for 2017, Alastair Barbour succeeds Ian Cormack as Senior Independent Director.
