Response to Press Speculation
Asian Plantations Limited (LSE: PALM), a palm oil plantation company with operations in Malaysia, notes the comments which appeared in The Star newspaper in Malaysia on Saturday 1 March 2014 and which suggested that the Company is in discussions with FELDA Global Ventures Holdings Bhd ("FGV") to dispose of all, or part of, its issued share capital to FGV.
The Company confirms that it is in discussions with a number of parties which might lead to a sale of its entire share capital, however there can be no certainty as to the outcome of these discussions or whether an offer will be made.
Asian Plantations is subject to the Singapore Code on Takeovers and Mergers.
