Αthens, January 21, 2010 - Hellenic Telecommunications Organization SA (ASE: HTO, NYSE: OTE), the Greek full-service telecommunications provider, in response to a relevant question by the Athens Stock Exchange, issued the following reply:
"Following press reports concerning obligations of OTE towards the IKA pension fund, and in response to the Athens Exchange's Letter Ref No 1248/20.01.2010, OTE clarifies that it fulfils in their totality all the financial obligations it has towards all social security funds, paying all contributions, as they are due, both in the context of its normal course of business, as well as the ones related to the company's voluntary retirement plans, strictly following all relevant rules and regulations.
