It is estimated that all of China's 340 million households will bewatching Orad's graphics on air. The deal is valued at US$1.4 million. Following an evaluation of the leading solutions available on the market, CCTVchose Orad's three dimentional on-air graphics and virtual set systems becauseof their reliability, cost effectiveness, unique capability to meet all possiblesports application requirements and superior graphic capabilities. Orad's systems will be located in CCTV's main production centre as well as inthe Olympics IBC center. Orad's Maestro system will be integrated into the Sobeynewsroom system and will provide CCTV with fast news graphics and highlightsfrom the Olympic games. Orad's 3DPlay will be used for real time Olympics on-airapplications with a dedicated Olympics controller that will enable CCTV to aircompelling on-air graphics, innovative comparisons, charts and many othergraphic elements.
