Origin Enterprises plc - Non-Executive Directorate Changes

Origin Enterprises plc ("Origin") announces the appointment of Ms Rose McHugh as a Non-Executive Director and the resignation of Mr Hugh Cooney with effect from 18 May 2012.

Ms Rose McHugh, age 48, is head of Corporate Finance with Merrion Group and Non-Executive Chairman of An Board Iascaigh Mhara. A fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland, an Associate of the Institute of Taxation in Ireland, holding an honours law degree and MBA from University College Cork, Ms McHugh also served from 2008 to 2011 as a Non-Executive Director of Bord na Mona. Ms McHugh holds no shares in Origin or in its 68.8% shareholder, ARYZTA AG. 

Origin Chairman, Owen Killian, welcomed the appointment of Ms McHugh to the Origin Board and thanked Mr Cooney for his contribution to Origin and its development over the past five years. Mr Cooney is a member of the Board of ARYZTA AG since 3 December 2011.

There are no further details that are required to be disclosed pursuant to Schedule Two, paragraph (g) of the AIM and ESM Rules.
