To RNS SUBJECT: GAS DISCOVERY AT RETI # 1-A (EXPLORATORY) - GUDDU E.L.
By the grace of Almighty Allah, Oil and Gas Development Company Limited (OGDCL) on behalf of Guddu Joint Venture has made a
Gas discovery from its Reti Exploratory Well No. 01-A (Guddu Block) which is located in District Ghotki of Sindh province.
2. Guddu Joint Venture is comprised of OGDCL, IPRTOC & Government Holdings (Pvt.) Limited, having 70%, 25% & 5% (pre-
commercial) Working Interests, respectively. Reti Well No. 01-A was drilled down to its Target Depth of 770 Meters. Based on electric logs, geological & drilling data, the production testing was started on 1st August, 2009. The objective of the test was to evaluate the potential of Pirkoh Limestone of middle Eocene age.
3. Three zones in Pirkoh limestone have been selected for testing. Zone-I in the interval (641 - 634 = 07 M) proved to be tight and
water bearing, while Zone-II, (616 – 598 =18M) on 36/34" chock size has produced 2.82 MMSCFD/D of gas wellhead flowing pressure of 498 Psi. The short duration preliminary testing results are as under:
