Northern Bear Plc08 April 2008 Northern Bear Plc ("Northern Bear" or the "Company") Board Appointment Northern Bear, the holding company for a growing portfolio of Northern basedbuilding services businesses, is pleased to announce the appointment of GrahamRoy Jennings to the Board as an Operations Director with immediate effect. Mr Jennings, 51, is Managing Director of Jennings Roofing Limited, and itsparent company Jennings Properties Limited, which were both acquired byNorthern Bear on 13 November 2007. He has been involved in the roofing industryin the North of England for 34 years, 27 of which he has been Managing Directorof Jennings Roofing Limited. He brings vast experience and knowledge of theindustry including many longstanding relationships with blue chip customers. Jon Pither, Chairman of Northern Bear, said: "I am delighted that Graham hasagreed to join the Board as he brings with him a wealth of experience whichwill greatly strengthen our Board at the operational level." Mr Jennings is interested in 814,569 ordinary shares of 1p each in the Companywhich represents 4.4 per cent. of the total issued share capital.
