BOARD APPOINTMENT
Nichols plc, the soft drinks group, announces that Mr John Longworth (aged 52)has been appointed to the Board as a Non-Executive Director.
John is currently a Non-Executive Director of the Cooperative Group and is also a Competition Commission panel member. He has a strong background and extensive experience in FMCG and the retail sector, as well as building strong brands on an international scale. Previous roles have included being a Main Board Director of Asda and a Director of Tesco Stores.
John will be replacing current Non-Executive Director Jonathan Diggines. Jonathan, who is Chief Executive of Enterprise Ventures has served since 1995, and is stepping down to enable the Board to be refreshed in line with 'Best Practice'.
Nichols plc wishes to place on record its sincere thanks to Jonathan, who has been an excellent member of the Board and whose wise and valuable counsel has been much appreciated over the years.
