Nichols plc Share Price (NICL)

I wonder if the board of director's have thought about using VPP (Virtual Product Placement) advertising to boost sales in there target markets ?

In the annual report it goes on about Senegal being a key market for them, but how are they trying to boost sales, awareness & loyalty there ?

Mirriad (MIRI & yes for the record I'm a shareholder in that company) are the content VPP specialists & have done some amazing things to help out Brands.

They have even gone so far as to have music video's created (by artists who a Brand wanted to work with), whereby they can then insert several VPP adverts seamlessly into it post production, to make it totally contextual to the viewer.

This form of advertising (VPP) gets a much better outcome for the Brand, with increased sales & Brand loyalty compared to normal adverts which the vast majority of people now try to avoid, but you can't avoid it if its in the content/video that you want to view!

Not only that but the time it takes to go ahead & run an advertising campaign can be as little as 3 weeks from initial sign-off to it being seen inside the content by viewers. It can also be done in multiple different languages as well.

I truly believe it is something that would not only help the company boost sales & awareness of the Vimto Brand etc but be much better value per ad £ spent at the same time.

Hopefully all the restructuring (OoH) is out of the way now, and steady, if unexciting, growth returning. All eyes on any announcements re distributing excess cash to shareholders, slated for an update mid year. NICL does generate cash, so if the business can settle down and put recent struggles (Covid, OoH, removing some senior staff) behind it, there should be better days ahead.

Any share buy backs should have positive effect on share price, given thin market. Although a capital restructure might be on the cards to address that problem. Just have to wait and see.
