NCSP Group Cargo Turnover Reached 81.3 mln t in 7M 2015

NCSP Group (LSE: NCSP, MOEX: NMTP) hereby reports that its consolidated cargo turnover for 7M 2015 comprised 81.3 million tonnes, up 2.1% or 1.7 mln t year-on-year.
Liquid cargo totaled 63,641 thousand tonnes, bulk cargo comprised 6,293 thousand tonnes, general cargo amounted to 8,356 thousand tonnes, and containers accounted for 3,020 thousand tonnes.
Liquid cargo volumes are in line with previous year, bulk and general cargo volumes are up 7.7% and 19.5% year-on-year. Container traffic in tonnes reduced by 8.9%.
CEO of PJSC NCSP Sultan Batov commented on Group's 7M 2015 operating results:
«At the start of the second half of the year Group's volumes continued to grow at a stable pace compared to last year performance and to this year's target figures. Operating indicators for January-July 2015 outperformed those of same period 2014 by 2.1%, and exceeded target figures by 12%.
In the meantime oil products transshipment was growing ahead of the industry by 6 percent points, and ferrous metals volumes outpaced the industry by 11 percent points.
July marked the start of 2015 grain harvest export season, which coincided with good market conditions. This allowed us to load 567.5 thousand tonnes of grain in July only, making it the best month of 2015 so far».
Liquid Cargo
In January-July 2015 NCSP Group loaded 63,641 thousand tonnes of liquid cargo. Crude oil amounted to 44,080 thousand tonnes. Oil products volumes exceeded these of same period last year by 1,955 thousand tonnes reaching up to 19,034 thousand tonnes. Oil products transshipment increased 11.4% year on year versus industry's total growth of 5.4% year-on-year according to ASOP. Transshipment of UAN and seed oils in 7M 2015 comprised 374 thousand tonnes and 154 thousand tonnes respectively.
Bulk Cargo
Bulk cargo volumes for 7M 2015 totaled 6,293 thousand tonnes, exceeding these of same time 2014 by 449 thousand tonnes or 7.7%.
Grain volumes totaled 3,109 thousand tonnes; chemical cargo comprised 654 thousand tonnes; sugar accounted for 677 thousand tonnes; iron ore amounted to 1,066 thousand tonnes, and coal volumes totaled 787 thousand tonnes.
General Cargo
General cargo volumes in the reporting period increased by 1,365 thousand tonnes or 19.5% year-on-year and amounted to 8,356 thousand tonnes, while growth rate sped up by 3 percent points versus that of 6 months 2015.
Transshipment of ferrous metals and pig iron grew by 1,357 thousand tonnes or 23.9% year-on-year, as growth rate accelerated by 4.5 percent points versus that of 6 months 2015. At the same time total volumes of ferrous metals at Russian seaports increased only 12.9% year-on-year according to ASOP.
Non-ferrous metals handling in January-July 2015 totaled 699 thousand tonnes, exceeding that of same time last year by 97.5 thousand tonnes or 16.2% year-on-year.
Timber, perishable cargo, and other cargo in the reporting period totaled 387 thousand tonnes, 123 thousand tonnes, and 113 thousand tonnes respectively.
Containers
Transshipment of container cargo in seven months of 2015 totaled 3,020 thousand tonnes or 282 thousand TEU. Group's container traffic in tonnes reduced 8.9% year-on-year versus a drop of 15.5% year-on-year at Russian seaports total, according to ASOP.
