NBNK announces that Sir David Walker has resigned as Deputy Chairman and Senior Independent Director with immediate effect.
Sir David has stepped down from the Company's Board in light of his appointment as Chairman of Barclays PLC and Barclays Bank PLC, ('Barclays').
Commenting on Sir David's resignation, NBNK's Chairman, Lord Levene, said: "Sir David Walker's unrivalled experience and expertise in banking and corporate governance will be invaluable to Barclays and we wish him every success in his important new role. He leaves the Company with my thanks for the commitment, energy and enthusiasm that he gave to NBNK during his tenure on the Board."
