NORTH ATLANTIC SMALLER COMPANIES INVESTMENT TRUST PLC

 

PORTFOLIO UPDATE

 

The Board of North Atlantic Smaller Companies Investment Trust PLC is pleased to announce that with effect from today's date, the Company has sold its holding in Orthoproducts Limited, a world leader of specialist plastics for the orthopaedics industry.

 

As a result of this transaction, the Company is expected to receive approximately £13 million in cash. The investment is being sold for approximately 4.0 times original cost and increased the NAV in September by approximately 18p. As a result of further negotiations, the sale will add approximately a further 6p to the net asset value in October.
