The Directors of Metals Exploration plc are pleased to announce that at the extarordinary general meeting held today the resolution to approve the waiver of certain obligations of Solomon Capital Limited under Rule 9 of the City Code on Takeovers and Mergers was duly passed. Following the passing of the resolution, application has been made for 54,643,962 ordinary shares ("New Shares") to be admitted to trading on AIM. It is expected that trading in the New Shares will commence on 3 August 2009.
