Director/PDMR shareholding
Melrose Resources plc ("the Company") announces that it received notification on 2 October 2012 of the following changes in Director/PDMR shareholdings as a result of the exercise of share options on 2 October 2012 under the Melrose Resources plc Approved Share Option Scheme. The options were due to expire on 25 April 2013.

In total 17,077 share options were exercised by Mrs Fraser at a price of 57 pence per share.

(1) No further share options were exercised by employees under the Melrose Resources plc Approved Share Option Scheme.
(2) This excludes any awards under the Performance Share Plan which have yet to vest.
(3) Following the exercise of these share options and the issue of new ordinary shares the Company has 114,706,256 Ordinary Shares in issue. This figure may be used by shareholders as the denominator for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in, the Company under the Financial Service Authority's Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
