Director/PDMR shareholding
Melrose Resources plc ("the Company") announces that it received notification on 1 April 2011 of the following changes in Director/PDMR shareholdings as a result of the exercise of share options on 31 March 2011 under the Melrose Resources plc Approved Share Option Scheme and the subsequent sale of shares on 1 April 2011. The options were due to expire on 11 April 2011.

In total 21,115 share options were exercised by Mrs Fraser at a price of 78 pence per share. Mrs Fraser subsequently sold 21,115 Ordinary Shares on 1 April 2011 at a price of 250 pence per share.
Notes:
(1) No further share options were exercised by employees under the Melrose Resources plc Approved Share Option Scheme.
(2) This excludes any awards under the Performance Share Plan which have yet to vest.
(3) Following the exercise of these share options and the issue of new ordinary shares the Company has 114,689,178 Ordinary Shares in issue. This figure may be used by shareholders as the denominator for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in, the Company under the Financial Service Authority's Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
