Trading Update

At the General Meeting of Monitise plc (LSE:MONI.L) to be held today, the Chairman, Duncan McIntyre, will make the following statement:

"The Board of Monitise is pleased to announce the following trading highlights:

·; Revenue growth remains in line with management forecasts.

·; Monitise announces that it has now acquired 2 million registered customers for its live services in the UK and USA. Customer adoption of its smartphone apps continues to be strong and to have a positive effect on average revenue per user.

·; Activity volumes across the Mobile Money Manager platform are now at an annual rate of approximately 100 million and global expansion of the platform is well underway.

·; Monitise also announces that it has signed a new contract to provide mobile banking services to the Royal Bank of Scotland Group. Under the agreement, Monitise will continue to provide mobile financial services to RBS, NatWest and Ulster Bank customers with scope to develop a range of new mobile banking and payments services in the future.

·; Monitise continues to invest to deliver selected opportunities globally and to extend its service range.

·; Monitise's strategy for territorial expansion is progressing well in India and in Asia Pacific. An announcement regarding Asia Pacific is expected imminently.

·; Work is well underway to establish the Mobile Money Network joint venture with The Carphone Warehouse to launch mobile shopping services and an announcement is expected within the coming weeks.

Our strong start to 2010 continues. In our live territories, we are growing new registered users and revenue well and our conversations with prospective new partners are encouraging. We are very positive about both our global expansion and service range extension strategies.

These are exciting times for Monitise as the market grows rapidly and our leadership position in it is increasingly recognised."
