LLOYDS TSB LAUNCHES NEXT GENERATION OF MOBILE PHONE BANKING
With the launch today of mobile services by Lloyds TSB, Monitise plc [MONI.L] names Lloyds TSB as the eighth UK bank to join the MONILINK mobile money network, Monitise's joint venture with VocaLink in the UK. The launch of the previously 'unnamed bank' means that well over half of all UK adults can now manage their money using the MONILINK service.
Monitise's success in the UK, in combination with continued growth in North America and emerging markets, demonstrates the strength of Monitise's technology and its unique ability to deliver popular, mass-market services being adopted by both financial institutions and consumers alike.

Better money management tools have an increasingly important role to play in consumers financial affairs as we all look for greater day to day control of our money.
"Using the service, Lloyds TSB customers will be the first in the UK to use their mobile phones for moving money between their accounts, as well as checking recent transactions, requesting a mini-statement and topping-up their own and others' mobile phones."
