Monitise plc (the "Company") announces that application has been made to the London Stock Exchange for the blocklisting of 6,000,000 Ordinary shares of 

1 pence each (the "shares") in the Company. It is expected that the blocklisting will become effective on 28 November 2008. 

The blocklisting is being put in place to facilitate share based payments to external consultants over the current and following financial year in order to minimise cash outgoings in the current climate. When issued, these shares will rank pari passu with the existing Ordinary shares.
