Management Consulting Group PLC, the international management consulting group, announces that Mr Julian Waldron has been appointed to the Board as non-executive director, with immediate effectMr Waldron will also be a member of the Audit and Risk Committee and Remuneration Committee.

Mr Waldron, 44, is the Chief Financial Officer of Thomson SA. a leading global provider of technology, services, systems and equipment to the media and entertainment sector. He joined Thomson in 2001, prior to which he worked for UBS Warburg in capital markets and corporate finance. He is also the Non Executive Chairman of Trio Finance Limited, a closed-end investment fund listed on the London Stock Exchange.

Alan BarberExecutive Chairman said 'I am delighted that Julian has agreed to join the Board. His extensive knowledge of financial markets and as a buyer of consultancy services will provide us with valuable experience as we develop the group.'

Biographical details - Julian Waldron

Julian Waldron was born in 1964 and is a British national, residing in Paris. After graduating from Cambridge University, he joined UBS Warburg in 1987 and worked in their Corporate Finance department focusing mainly on French clients. In 1992, he transferred to UBS Warburg's Capital Markets department in London and he was subsequently appointed joint head of the European Equities division and was made a Managing Director.

In 2001, Mr Waldron was appointed Senior Executive Vice-president and Chief Financial Officer of Thomson SA, a leading global provider of technology, services, systems and equipment to the media and entertainment sector, based in Paris. From March to September 2008 he was interim Chief Executive Officer.

Management Consulting Group PLC is an umbrella organisation for a diverse range of professional service offerings. It is now aligned under two separate groups - Consultancy Practices and Operational Consulting. Consultancy Practices offers strategic and business management consultancy services and comprises Ineum Consulting, Kurt Salmon Associates, Parson Consulting, Salzer Consulting and Viaduct Consulting. Operational Consulting comprises the operational and financial management consultancy business, Proudfoot Consulting. This structure has created two clear and distinct business streams to provide a firm foundation for delivering profitable growth and enhanced shareholder value.
