The following information is given subsequent to the announcement made on 10 July 2012 that Steve Rowe is to be appointed to the Board of Marks and Spencer Group plc as Executive Director, Food from 1 October 2012.

Steve Rowe has confirmed that he has no directorships to notify in accordance with paragraph 9.6.13 (1) of the Listing Rules.

In accordance with paragraph 9.6.13 (2) - (6) of the Listing Rules, he has advised that he has no details to disclose.
