Mercury Group PLC04 February 2005 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE 4 February 2005 Mercury Group PLC ("Mercury" or "the Company") Further placing On 3 December 2004 the Company announced that it had itself placed 76,000,000new ordinary shares of 0.1p each in the capital of the Company ("OrdinaryShares") with a small number of investors at a price of 0.5p per Ordinary Share,pursuant to which the Company received gross proceeds of £380,000 (the"Placing"). Further to the Placing, the Company today announces that it hascompleted the placing of a further 4,000,000 new Ordinary Shares at a price of0.5p per Ordinary Share pursuant to which the Company has received grossproceeds of £20,000 ("Additional Placing Shares"). Application will be made forthe Additional Placing Shares to be admitted to trading in AIM.
