Mercury Group PLC12 December 2005 MERCURY GROUP PLC ("Mercury") New Contract Win Mercury Group plc, the property services group, is delighted to announce thatits project management subsidiary, TelCo Solutions ("Telco"), has secured acontract to manage the roll-out of a major new hotels programme with HarrellHotels (Europe) Limited ("Harrell Hotels"). The capital investment in theprogramme will be in excess of £180m over its initial three year period andtherefore, this represents a substantial contract for TelCo. TelCo will act as strategic project managers for Harrell Hotels in the roll-outof an initial10 new hotels under the Courtyard brand. Harrell Hotels holds thefranchising rights in the UK to develop and manage the Courtyard hotel brand,which is owned by Marriott International, Inc. As well as locating suitable sites, TelCo will be responsible for commissioningand performing surveys and feasibility studies. It will also be responsible forthe appointment and management of all other professional advisers involved inthe roll-out. The contract will also utilize the services offered by Mercury's othersubsidiary companies, Smith Melzac Pepper Angliss, the commercial propertyagency, and Navitas Hemway, the facilities management provider.
