Statement re Media Comment

The Board of MFG notes the media article of 6 November 2018 regarding a possible sale by Mr Arron Banks of his 29.10% beneficial interest in the Group.

The Board confirms as follows:

1 that it has been informed by Mr Banks that he is exploring options in relation to his beneficial interest in the Group which may include the disposal of some or all of these holdings. The Group currently has no other information regarding such intention;

2 any acquisition of a shareholding of 10% or more in the Group requires regulatory approval from both the Isle of Man Financial Services Authority, and the United Kingdom Financial Conduct Authority; and

3 the Chairman of MFG, Mr Jim Mellon, has informed the Board that he has no intention of selling his 16.39% beneficial interest in the Group.
