Director Appointment

The Group is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr John Spellman as a non-executive director to the Board of the Group and to the Board of Conister Bank Limited, the Group's banking subsidiary, with immediate effect.

John spent his early years in banking, fund management and accountancy specialising in the various parts of the offshore industry. In January 2001, he was appointed Managing Director of Clerical Medical Offshore. In February 2002, he transferred to the UK business as Chief Operating Officer within Clerical Medical Financial Services. In 2005, he was appointed to the position of Managing Director, HBoS Financial Services. Since 2007, he has worked with and created a number of successful businesses. John has wide experience liaising with Government regulators and has held approved status with the FSA Isle of Man previously in various roles. He has acted as strategic advisor to the Isle of Man Government specialising in finance sector and foreign direct investment for over 10 years. John is a both a Fellow of the Chartered Association of Certified Accountants and an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Bankers.
