Mears Group PLC15 April 2008 15 April 2008 Mears Group PLC ("Mears Group") £57 million of new contract wins for Social Housing Division Mears Group is pleased to announce further new contract wins by its socialhousing division as follows: Watford Community Housing Trust We are very pleased to announce that Watford Community Housing Trust (WCHT) haveappointed us, subject to contract and to completion of the Trust's leaseholderconsultation process, as one of two partners for a 5-year Decent Homespartnership. The contract is worth approximately £33 Million over the 5-yearperiod for each partner. The services provided include the replacement ofkitchens, bathrooms and external upgrade works. We are also to be appointed,subject to contract, as a partner on an innovative framework arrangement forcapital works and maintenance, set up as a Central Purchasing Body, which WCHThave established to enable other social landlords to purchase similar serviceson the terms agreed with WCHT. Castle Morpeth Housing The Company has been appointed to assist Castle Morpeth Housing deliver a majorworks, improvement and repair programme to the recently transferred housingstock. The partnership is for an initial term of 4 years and Mears' share isvalued at £12 million for this period, other partners have been appointed andthe total scheme is valued at £32 million. This partnership is a valuedaddition to Mears' North East business. Catalyst Communities Housing Association We are pleased to have secured a further partnership with Catalyst to providevoids and major cyclical maintenance repairs services. The contract is worth£12 Million over 4 years and supports our strategy of growing our business withexisting customers.
