Social Housing contract award

Mears is pleased to announce that it has been awarded a six-year partnership with Shoreline Housing Partnership ("Shoreline") to provide responsive repairs and maintenance services. The contract is valued at £50 million for the six-year period and has a potential worth in excess of £80 million subject to an opportunity for a further four-year extension. Shoreline is a registered social landlord which manages 8,200 homes centered around Grimsby which were previously the subject of a stock transfer from North East Lincolnshire Council.

This award widens the range of services we provide to Shoreline, adding to the partnering arrangements we hold with them for Decent Homes and Gas Servicing & Maintenance. The contract will be run from Shoreline's new purpose built headquarters offering the opportunity for unprecedented levels of partnership working and innovation. The contract has the potential to develop in to an all encompassing solution to cover every part of Shoreline's housing maintenance provision post 2010.
