Net Asset Value

The Directors confirm:

· A provisional unaudited net asset value (NAV)1 of 74.65p per Ordinary Share as at 31 December 2021, compared to 75.31p at 30 September 2021 prior to the payment of the interim dividend of 2.00p per Ordinary Share on 1 October 2021; and

· NAV total return2 of 157.25p per Ordinary Share as at 31 December 2021, compared to 155.91p at 30 September 2021.

Notes:

1The NAV at 31 December 2021 is unaudited and reflects the closing bid price of quoted securities as at that date. Investments in unlisted companies are normally valued on a six monthly basis and the NAV incorporates the Directors' valuation of unlisted investments as at 31 December 2021, adjusted for subsequent events where appropriate. There have been no material changes in the valuations of any of the unlisted investments during the period from 31 December 2021 to the date of this announcement.

2NAV total return is the sum of NAV per Ordinary Share and dividends paid per Ordinary Share since launch.
