Interim Management Statement
1. Net Asset Value
· Ordinary share NAV Total Return of 128.7p per share and NAV of 99.4p at 31 March 2014.
· C Ordinary share NAV of 94.6p at 31 March 2014.
The NAVs shown above are unaudited and reflect the closing bid prices of quoted securities and the Directors' valuations of unlisted investments as at 31 March 2014.
2. Investments and disposals
During the period ended 31 March 2014, the Ordinary share portfolio invested £1,291,122 in five private equity investments. During the same period, disposals generated aggregate losses on disposal of £3,845 from investments with a cost of £269,823.
The C Share portfolio invested £201,608 in three private equity investments during the same period, and generated aggregate gains on disposal of £21,264 from investments with a cost of £27,293.
There were no other material transactions during the period under review.
After the end of the period under review, for the Ordinary share portfolio, investments totalling £430,877 were made in two unlisted companies and losses totalling £2,942 were realised from investments with a cost of £5,390.
After the end of the period under review, for the C Share portfolio, an investment of £64,676 was made in an unlisted company.
The Board is not aware of any other events or transactions that have taken place between 31 March 2014 and the date of publication of this statement which would have had a material impact on the financial position of the Company.
