 Board Appointments

Mitchells & Butlers plc is pleased to announce the appointment of two new independent non-executive directors.

Ms Jane Moriarty will join the Board with immediate effect and she will also join the Audit Remuneration and Nomination Committees on appointment.

The Company is also pleased to announce the appointment of Susan Murray to the Board with effect from 8 March 2019. Ms Murray will also join the Audit, Remuneration and Nomination Committees on appointment and, at the same time, will be identified by the Board as the senior independent director.

Ms Moriarty, who is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland, is currently a director of NG Bailey Group Limited, Quarto Group Inc. and Martin's Properties Holdings Limited and was previously a senior advisory partner with KPMG LLP.  

Ms Murray has served on the boards of Compass Group PLC, Pernod Ricard SA, Imperial Brands PLC and EI Group plc and is a former Council Member of the Advertising Standards Authority. Ms Murray is currently a non-executive director of Hays Plc, Grafton Group PLC and Boparan Holdings Limited. In her executive career, amongst other roles, Ms Murray was Director of International Marketing of Grand Metropolitan's IDV business, Worldwide President and Chief Executive of Smirnoff's vodka business and subsequently Chief Executive of Littlewoods.

The Company confirms that there is no information about Ms Moriarty or Ms Murray requiring disclosure under paragraphs 9.6.13 (1) to (6) of the Listing Rules of the UK Listing Authority.
