 Board Appointment

Mitchells & Butlers plc is pleased to announce the appointment of Ms Amanda Brown as a new non-executive director.

Ms Brown will join the Board with effect from 4 July 2022 and she will also join the Audit, Remuneration and Nomination Committees on appointment and, with effect from the same time, will be appointed as chair of the Remuneration Committee.

Ms Brown, is currently the Chief Human Resources Officer of Hiscox Limited, from which she will be stepping down with effect from the end of June 2022 and a non-executive director and chair of the Remuneration Committee of Micro Focus International PLC. Ms Brown has previously held senior executive roles with Whitbread Group PLC, PepsiCo, Inc and Mars, Inc.  

Commenting upon the appointment of Ms Brown, Bob Ivell, Chairman of Mitchells & Butlers said:

As indicated in the 2021 Annual Report the Board and its Nomination Committee has continued to review the composition of the Board and its balance of skills and experience. We are sure that Amanda's experience and contribution will be hugely valuable in the continued progression of M&B."

The Company confirms that there is no other information about Ms Brown requiring disclosure under paragraphs 9.6.13 (1) to (6) of the Listing Rules of the UK Listing Authority.
