Appointment of New Non-Executive Director

Lowland Investment Company plc is pleased to announce that following a thorough search and selection process, Mr Mark Lam will be appointed as a non-executive director to the Board with effect from 1 January 2024. He will also serve as a member of the Company's Audit, Nomination and Management Engagement Committees.

Mr Lam was formerly Chief Technology and Information Officer for Openreach, the telecommunications infrastructure provider, leading the architecture of the national fibre network to deliver high speed broadband to all parts of the UK. He has many years of board-level commercial experience in the digital and telecommunications sectors, from start-up to blue chip environments.

He brings deep commercial experience, a strong understanding of technology, and knowledge of good governance. The diversity of his experience in both executive and non-executive roles will enhance the Board."

Mr Lam is currently Chairman of the Royal Free London hospital group, one of the largest hospital chains in the UK, senior independent director of the FTSE 250 manufacturer Games Workshop Group plc, and a director of a number of private companies, including JT Group Limited and UCL Partners Limited.

In accordance with paragraphs 9.6.13 (1) to (6) of the UKLA Listing Rules, it is confirmed that there are no additional details to be disclosed in relation to Mr Lam.
