Placing of 4,060,792 ordinary shares in Liontrust Asset Management Plc

Canaccord Genuity Limited ("Canaccord Genuity") announces that it has is has successfully completed the sale of 4,060,792 ordinary shares ("Placing Shares") in Liontrust Asset Management Plc ("Liontrust") on behalf of Alliance Trust plc ("Alliance Trust") to institutional investors at a price of 520 pence per share, raising gross proceeds for Alliance Trust of approximately £21.1 million. The Placing Shares represent approximately 8.2% of Liontrust's entire issued share capital and Alliance Trust's entire current stake in Liontrust.

Canaccord Genuity acted as sole bookrunner in relation to the transaction.
