Kingspan Group PLC26 October 2006 Kingspan Group plc Acquisition update Re: Leanort/Xtratherm - Competition Authority Decision 26th October 2006 Kingspan notes the decision of the Competition Authority, made yesterday, inwhich the Authority declined to give clearance to the proposed acquisition ofLeanort Ltd (trading as "Xtratherm") by Kingspan. Kingspan is disappointed by the Authority's decision, and believes that it isnot supported by the weight of evidence produced by Kingspan and Xtratherm intheir arguments and submissions to the Authority. Kingspan in consultation withthe vendors will study the written determination of the Authority and takeadvice from its lawyers, before deciding whether or not to appeal the decisionto the High Court.
