K3 Business Technology Group PLC23 October 2006 KBT.L K3 Business Technology Group plc ("K3" or the "Company") announces successful implementation at Doncasters Group K3, the IT solutions provider to the supply chain sector, is pleased to announce that K3IEG, the Company's manufacturing software subsidiary which K3 acquired in June 2005, has now successfully completed its major implementation across 13 sites in the Doncasters Group ("Doncasters"), a leading manufacturer of precision components and assemblies for the aerospace, power generation, specialty automotive and medical orthopaedic industries. Eric Lewis, Chief Executive of Doncasters Group, commented, "This has been as successful an implementation as any I have been involved with in 30 years. We look forward to optimising the benefits of K3's blueprinting and implementation process." The 13 sites span the UK, mainland Europe, the USA and Mexico and are now all live, and installed to a common blueprint which will enable Doncasters to apply best practice business processes across its group. This initial contract, worth in excess of £2m, was announced in June 2005 and was for the implementation of SYSPRO software which is specifically tailored for the manufacturing sector. The software provides mid-range manufacturers with a complete enterprise resource planning solution, enabling them to manage and control the manufacturing process as well as the financial and distributions functions.
