Board change
Kavango Resources plc (LSE:KAV) wishes to announce that Mr Douglas Wright has given notice that he will resign as chairman and non-executive director of the Company at the end of the year to concentrate on his other business interests.
Mr Wright joined the Company as Non-executive Chairman prior to its admission to the Official List in 2018 and helped guide the Company through the IPO process.
Michael Foster, Kavango's CEO, said: "We'd like to thank Douglas for the contribution he has made to the establishment and development of the Company since joining the board and taking on the responsibilities of Chairman in 2018. We wish him well for the future. We have already started the search for a new Chairman and in the meantime Mr Mike Moles, our other non-executive director, will act as Chairman. These are exciting times for Kavango and we are confident that we will be able to announce the appointment of a new Non-executive Chairman shortly."
Douglas Wright commented : "As I now depart the Company with my work completed to pursue other business opportunities, I wish the Company all the very best in 2021 and beyond."
