Trapoil (AIM: TRAP), the independent oil and gas exploration and appraisal company focused on the UK Continental Shelf region of the North Sea, received notification on 6 September 2011 from BlackRock UK Fund ("BlackRock") that, following the issue of new ordinary shares of 1p each in the Company ("Ordinary Shares") in relation to the Company's acquisition of Reach Oil & Gas Limited, as announced on 4 July 2011, BlackRock remains interested in 5,600,000 Ordinary Shares but its holding as a percentage of Trapoil's total voting rights has fallen below 3 per cent.
