James Halstead PLC03 August 2005 James Halstead plc (the "Company") 3 August 2005 Block admission application Application has been made by the Company for the block admission to trading onAIM for a further 500,000 10p ordinary shares ("Ordinary Shares") in respect ofthe James Halstead Group Share Option Plan (1998) (the "1998 Plan"). A block admission application for 500,000 Ordinary Shares was originally madeand granted in respect of the 1998 Plan on 14 October 2003. At 31 March 2005,the date of the last six monthly return, the balance of Ordinary Shares not yetissued/allotted in respect of the 1998 Plan was 112,180 Ordinary Shares. It is expected that the application for the block admission of the further500,000 Ordinary Shares will be granted on 9 August 2005. The Company currently has an issued share capital of 25,313,110 Ordinary Shares.
