Scrip Dividend for Interim Dividend
The Company offers shareholders the opportunity to receive new fully paid ordinary shares in the Company, instead of a cash dividend, by participating in the Company's scrip dividend scheme ('the Scheme').
On 4 August 2016, the Company announced an interim dividend for the year ending 31 December 2016 of 20.59 cents per share for shareholders on the register on 16 September 2016. The scrip reference share price for those who are, or who will elect to become, participants in the Scheme in respect of the Interim Dividend is 708.85 pence.
The scrip reference share price is the average of the closing middle market quotation for ordinary shares, derived from the London Stock Exchange Daily Official List, for the five dealing days from and including 15 September 2016.
The payment of cash dividend or scrip dividend will be made in pounds sterling. Based on the exchange rate of 1.3198, the WMReuters GBP/USD 9am fix (London time) four business days prior to the date of announcement of the scrip reference price, the sterling cash dividend is £0.15600848 pence per ordinary share.
The deadline for application under the scheme in respect of the Interim Dividend is 17:00 hours (London time) on 30 September 2016.
