INTERSERVE WINS £7.5 MILLION THREE-YEAR ACCOUNT WITH SSE AND SGN

Interserve, the international support services and construction group, has won a new three year cleaning account worth £7.5 million with FTSE 100 energy group SSE and gas distribution company SGN.

Interserve will provide daily cleaning, window cleaning and periodic cleaning services to all of SSE and SGN's 70 corporate offices located across the UK. Interserve already provides asbestos removal services to both SSE and SGN at a circa 90 industrial sites.

The win follows a competitive tender process, with Interserve chosen for its added value and for the innovations it will introduce to the account. This includes the roll out of new management and timekeeping systems that will deliver significant efficiencies and synergies for both companies. Interserve will also transfer circa 200 people to their team under the terms of the contract.
