The tool location module of the Ubisense Smart Factory System was selected becauseof its ability to provide an end to end solution for visibility and control acrossthe manufacturers main production lines, something that could not have been achievedbefore using traditional passive RFID or bar code solutions. This leading South Korean industrial has selected the system in order to eliminatedefects as early as possible during the assembly process. A number of critical tighteningoperations, if defective or incomplete, can cause expensive rework at a later datetherefore identifying them early is important for an efficient and error free productionfacility.
