Ubisense Smart Factory System selected for two automotive plants

Cambridge, UK - Ubisense Group plc ("Ubisense" or the "Company") (AIM:UBI), a market leader in real-time location intelligence solutions, is pleased to announce that both a large European automotive manufacturer and a large Asian automotive manufacturer have chosen to deploy Ubisense's Smart Factory System for automatic tool control at manufacturing plants in Eastern Europe and Korea respectively.

The Ubisense Smart Factory system is already integrated with both customers' Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), thereby allowing for seamless adoption and integration at further production facilities.

The Smart Factory System brings many benefits to manufacturers by providing visibility and control across the assembly and finishing areas, for example enabling manufacturers to reduce costs by eliminating non-value-added barcode scans as well as improving quality, error proofing and documentation, even for battery powered tools.
