Update on status of fund and date of Interim Results Announcement

Earlier today, Impax Asian Environmental Markets plc ("IAEM"), an investment trust managed by the Company, announced that further to discussions with its investors the Board of IAEM proposed to effect a reconstruction so as to give investors the options of a return of cash or a rollover of their holdings into Impax Asian Environmental Markets (Ireland) Fund, an open ended fund managed with a similar investment policy to IAEM. As at 31 March 2013, IAEM had total assets under management of £218 million, representing 9.7% of Company's total assets under management.

A further update on the proposed reconstruction of IAEM will be given in the Company's interim results statement for the period to 31 March 2013 which will be released on 16 May 2013.
