IP Group plc -Additional DBSP awards; PDMR shareholding
IP Group plc (LSE: IPO) ("IP Group" or "the Group" or "the Company"), which invests in breakthrough science and innovation companies with the potential to create a better future for all, announces the following in connection with its employee share schemes.
Deferred Bonus Share Plan ("DBSP") Awards
On 14 April 2023, the Company granted a number of nil-cost options over ordinary shares of two pence each ("Shares") to certain employees under the Group's DBSP, such awards being announced to the market via RNS on 18 April 2023 (the "April 2023 DBSP Awards").
It was subsequently noted that there had been an administrative error in calculating a small number of the April 2023 DBSP Awards. As such, on 28 June 2023 the Company granted additional nil-cost options over Shares to a person discharging managerial responsibilities ("PDMR") and certain current and former employees under the Group's DBSP (the "Additional Grant"). The Additional Grant has been made on the same basis as the April 2023 DBSP Awards were made. The following table sets out details of the awards made to a PDMR:

In addition to the above, under the Additional Grant, awards over a total of 24,202 Shares were made to certain other of the Group's employees and former employees. As at the date of this announcement, a total of 2,168,457 nil-cost options over Shares remain outstanding under the IP Group DBSP.
No consideration was paid for the grant of the awards and no consideration is due on the maturity of the option period. Fifty per cent of the options will normally be automatically exercised on 31 March 2024 and fifty per cent on 31 March 2025, with each such automatic exercise generally subject to continued employment.
Shares in issue
At the date of this announcement, the Company continues to have 1,063,188,005 Shares in issue of which 26,273,218 Shares are held in treasury.
