24 May 2007 Amteus plc ("Amteus", the "Company" or the "Group") Trading Update

Amteus, the provider of private and secure IP based business communications software, announces the following trading update.

As announced on 6 March 2007, the Group has refined its sales strategy from majoring on the VoIP product seeking to sell it direct to customers, to leading with the IM product and selling it through resellers. Since the new strategy was adopted by the Group at the end of November 2006 the take-up from the reseller sector has been encouraging.

The Company continues to focus on signing up resellers and has made progress in recent weeks with a specific sales proposition for the educational sector, which has been well received by the schools and their users.

The Company expects to announces its interim results for the six months ended 31 March 2007 in late June 2007 and will at that time be able to update shareholders as to progress with resellers and sales to the educational sector.

The decision to suspend business development and marketing initiatives in the United States of America which has resulted in Dr Aynur Unal leaving the Company will enable the Group to concentrate all its resources on its UK reseller and educational sector strategy. As a result of this decision there will be cost savings of around ‚£100,000 per annum. The Company plans to appoint a distributor in the USA in due course.
