For immediate release 6 July 2006 Amteus plc ("Amteus" or "the Company") Director Shareholding The Company has today issued 8,191 ordinary shares at 113p per share (being theaverage of the closing middle market prices over the previous five tradingdays) to the Right Honourable Michael Howard QC MP, Non-Executive Director.The shares have been issued in lieu of fees payable to Mr Howard as a NonExecutive Director of the Company. Mr Howard now holds 8,191 ordinary shares,which is equivalent to 0.024 per cent. of the enlarged issued share capital ofthe Company.The Company has made an application for the shares to be admitted to trading onAIM and dealings are expected to commence on 13 July 2006.In addition, Mr Howard has also entered into an option agreement with JeffreyMorris, Executive Deputy Chairman of the Company. Under the terms of theagreement Mr Morris has granted Mr Howard an option to acquire up to 250,000ordinary shares at 96.05p per share.
