3i Group plc: non-executive Director changes

David Hutchison OBE

3i Group plc announces the appointment of David Hutchison OBE as a non-executive Director with effect from 11 November 2013.

Until 2009 David Hutchison was Head of UK Investment Banking at Dresdner Kleinwort Limited and a member of its Global Banking Operating Committee. Since 2009 he has been Chief Executive of Social Finance Limited, a not for profit organisation which injects market principles into funding that creates both social and financial results. 

Sir Adrian Montague, 3i Chairman, said: "We are very pleased to announce the appointment of David to 3i's Board. He brings a wealth of investment and banking experience across a range of asset classes."

David Hutchison commented: "I am excited by the opportunity to join the 3i Board as it enters the next phase of its strategic plan."

There are no further matters to be disclosed in accordance with paragraph 9.6.13R of the UKLA's Listing Rules.

Willem Mesdag

The Chairman's Statement included in the Group's 2013 Report and Accounts noted that Willem Mesdag intended to step down from the Board later in 2013. 3i Group plc now announces that Mr Mesdag will step down from the Board on 30 November 2013.

Sir Adrian Montague, 3i Chairman, said: "Willem has served as a non-executive Director since 2007 and has provided invaluable advice during a period of considerable change for 3i and we wish him well for the future."
